Install instructions

Download the Game:

  1. Click the "Download" button on this page to download the game files as a zip archive.

  2. Once the download is complete, extract the contents of the zip file:

    • Right-click the zip file and select "Extract All...".

    • Choose a location on your computer where you'd like to save the extracted files (e.g., your Documents or Downloads folder).

    • Click "Extract".

  3. Inside the extracted folder, you will find another zip file named game_image_assets_code.zip. This contains the image assets for the game. Extract this file as well by right-clicking on it and selecting "Extract All..." into the same folder where you extracted the first zip file.

Launching the Game:

  1. After extracting both zip files, you should now have all the game files in one folder.

  2. Open this folder, and find the file named simulator_code.exe.

  3. Double-click on simulator_code.exe to launch the game.

Controls:

  • Arrow Keys: Use the Up arrow to accelerate, the Down arrow to brake, and the Left/Right arrow keys to steer.

  • Spacebar: Toggle indicators (left or right).

  • Escape: Pause the game.

System Requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows (XP or later)

  • Processor: 1 GHz or faster

  • Memory: 512 MB of RAM

  • Storage: 50 MB free space

Troubleshooting:

  • If the game doesn’t launch, make sure you’ve extracted all files from both zip archives before running the simulator_code.exe file.

  • Ensure that your antivirus or firewall is not blocking the simulator_code.exe from running. You may need to add it to the list of trusted programs in your antivirus settings.

Hi! Thanks for trying my 2D car simulator.

I really appreciate you letting me know about the flaw since it’s my first game.

I’m going to fix the controls within 9–10 hours. Thanks for your patience!

The controls are a bit clumsy 😅, so it’s easy to get confused. Try this: to start driving, press the Start/Stop button at the top left, then Shift + 1, and finally the Up arrow key.

If it still doesn’t work, after i fix it please let me know again, and I’ll look into it and fix it again.
